Lieberman to be stripped of chairmanship

Wed, Nov 5, 2008

Joe Lieberman will meet with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid later this week to discuss whether the Democrat-turned-Independent will be stripped of his Senate committee chairmanship. Lieberman is currently the chairman of the Senate’s Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. It has been said that the leading factor in Joe Lieberman being stripped of his chairmanship was his support for McCain campaign which angered many Democrats. Not only is Joe Lieberman support of Senator McCain one of the leading factors, but also his attacks on Obama during his speech at the Republican National Convention. Joe Lieberman was a dedicated supporter of McCain’s campaign, even going as far as counseling Palin on foreign affairs before her debate with Biden.

Lieberman at RNC: Sen. Barack Obama is a gifted and eloquent young man who I think can do great things for our country in the years ahead, but, my friends, eloquence is no substitute for a record, not in these tough times for America

Whether Lieberman is ousted or not will depend on how close to a filibuster majority the democrats have in Senate. Joe Lieberman may be certainly needed to stop filibusters, however, he has surely ruined his political career as far as democrats are concerned. If Senator McCain had won his bid for presidency, it would have been a whole different game for Lieberman. He would have likely been placed in an senior administration post. But, the leaders of the Democratic party are now pushing for revenge at what they believe was betrayal by Lieberman.

Shortly after his clear victory, Senator Obama received calls of congratulation from Senator McCain, Senator Clinton, and President Bush. Senator McCain shortly after made a speech, congratulating Senator Obama’s victory. During Senator McCain’s speech. Senator McCain accepted defeat gracefully, stopping his supporters from booing Senator Obama several times. During Senator Obama speech, he told his supporters that “change has come”. Senator Obama said he was looking forward to working with Senator McCain to “renew this nation’s promise in the months ahead”.

Obama’s grandmother passes hours before election.

Mon, Nov 3, 2008

According to the Obama’s campaign, Madelyn Dunham, Senator Obama’s grandmother, died last night in Hawaii between 4 and 5 a.m. Her death came less then 24 hours before the beginning of election. Senator Obama had recently taken 2 days from his campaign to visit his ill grandmother who had been hospitalized. Today Obama carried out all his planned campaign events and seemed to tried to avoid addressing the death of his grandmother within the last 24 hours of his campaign. This has been a big blow to the Obama compaign with only 1 day left till elections. Senator Obama and her sister released the following comments:

Statement from Barack Obama and Maya Soetoro-Ng on the Death of Their Grandmother It is with great sadness that we announce that our grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has died peacefully after a battle with cancer.  She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility.  She was the person who encouraged and allowed us to take chances.  She was proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and left this world with the knowledge that her impact on all of us was meaningful and enduring.  Our debt to her is beyond measure. Our family wants to thank all of those who sent flowers, cards, well-wishes, and prayers during this difficult time.  It brought our grandmother and us great comfort.  Our grandmother was a private woman, and we will respect her wish for a small private ceremony to be held at a later date.   In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to any worthy organization in search of a cure for cancer.

Senator McCain & Mrs. McCain also took the time to send their regards to Senator Obama and the Obama family. They expressed their simpathy and deep condolences.

Senator McCain & Cindy McCain: “We offer our deepest condolences to Barack Obama and his family as they grieve the loss of their beloved grandmother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them as they remember and celebrate the life of someone who had such a profound impact in their lives.”

Joe the Plumber questions Obama loyalty

Sun, Nov 2, 2008

Recently, Joe “the Plumber” Wurzelbacher has been hitting the trail and campaign for Republican Presidential candidate John McCain. Just last week, Joe the Plumber stated that a vote for Senator Obama is “death to Israel“. However, today Joe the Plumber appeared on Fox News with Neil Cavuto where he praised Senator McCain’s service to the United States and questioned Obama loyalty to America.

JOE: McCain has fought and bled for our country, and loves our country. There’s too many questions with Barack Obama and his loyalty to our country. And I question that greatly.

CAVUTO: Well, you’re not doubting that he’s a good American. Or you are?

JOE: Oh you know, his ideology is something that is completely different than what democracy stands for, so I had some question there. In my opinion.

Now, I have two issues with Joe the Plumber. The first issue I have is his statement concerning Obama in regards to Israel.  My second issue is his questioning of Obama’s loyalty. First, I would like to address Wurzelbacher’s belief that somehow if Obama is elected, it will be the death of Israel. Obama has made it clear that he supports Israel. The biggest argument that those who don’t support Obama use to affirmative that Obama does not support Israel is that he is Muslim. It has been made clear that Senator Obama is a Christian, not a Muslim. All the little rumors, such as Senator Obama been sworn in with a Koran, has been proven false. There has been no substantial evidence or logical reasoning which would suggest that Senator Obama is a Muslim. However, lets note that 16% of Israel population is Muslim, simply because you are a Muslim does not make you anti-Israeli or anti-Zionist.

However, what if an Obama Administration did not fully support Israel economically and militarily? Does that mean that Israeli would be wiped off the Earth? Absolutely Not! Israel is more then capable both financially and militarily to strive without US support. We don’t have the hold Israel’s hand or run to their rescue. Israel is a regional superpower for Christ sake. Also, just for the sake of argument, Israel is not at the mercy of US, most of Europe supports Israel.

Now, for my second issue, Joe the Plumber is questioning the loyalty of the wrong ticket. I admit, Senator McCain has served this country with honor. He is a true war hero. However, at the current moment he is loyal or simply bitter. We are spending $10b a month in a civil war in Iraq while the nation is making a $70b surplus in oil. We spend twice the amount on the war in Iraq each month then our own educational system. Iraq should be taking responsibility for their own country. Iraq has both the revenue and the security forces to combat insurgency without US support. However, John McCain views on Iraq seems to be that of an old man trying to recapture his youth. He should let go of the bitterness Vietnam of over. Clinging to the war in Iraq or Vietnam is not being loyalty, its being delusional. Nevertheless, my target when addressing the topic of loyalty is certainly not Senator McCain, but Governor Palin. This is someone that Joe the Plumber should surely be questioning. In particular, her ties with the Alaskan Independence Party. A part which supports the state of Alaska seceding from the Union. In fact, Todd Palin was a member of this party for eleven years, from 1995-2006.

Officials of the Alaskan Independence Party say that Palin was also a member of the party. It is impossible for McCain’s ticket to say “Country First” when he has picked a running mate who is affliated with a party that puts the country last. To be more straight to the point, its a one shot deal to question Obama’s patriotism before questioning John McCain’s running mate patriotism, the same woman who was a member of a political party that liked the idea of seceding from the United States altogether.

McCain aide: “Palin going rogue”

Sat, Oct 25, 2008

There are only ten days left until Nov 4th elections, tensions between Sarah Palin and McCain aides are out flowing to the public. Many McCain advisers have become frustrated with Sarah Palin public statements, accusing her of going off course and stating certain things which could easily backfire. One of McCain aides described Palin as “going rogue”. One example that one of McCain’s aide pointed out was an incident in which Palin labeled robot calls as “irritating”, despite the fact that the McCain campaign also uses the system and were actively defending the use of them. McCain aides also noted that Palin staunchly disagreed with the campaigns controversial decision to pull out of Michigan. The campaign has suggested that Palin seems to be looking out for her own interest, rather then those of the McCain campaign.

McCain Source: She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone. She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else. Also, she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party.

With the possibilities of McCain pulling off a win, its obvious that the rogue Palin has technically abandoned the McCain campaign and is not concerned about 2008, but 2012. Perhaps in 2012, the Republicans will nominate Palin/Joe the Plumber 2012. Or maybe Palin will pick Bob the Builder instead. As I said before, McCain needs to put a mussel on this woman before she farther damage his campaign. She was a bad pick in the first place and now she shows her gratitude by neglecting the McCain campaign and pushing forth her own 2012 agenda. I am pretty sure that many Republicans are secretly hanging on a thread in regards to the rogue Palin. McCain’s campaign is already lost and the best thing he can do is to kick Palin off his ticket. In fact, it might be his only alternative if he wishes for any chance of winning. Although it sounds much like political suicide, any logical thinking person would welcome such action. In fact, any logical thinking Republican would welcome kicking Palin off the ticket with open arms. Just about every Republican which has endorsed Obama has suggested that McCain’s pick of Palin was one of the leading factors of their decision. Now I do not agree with any of McCain views, however, I would feel much less worried if a competent Republican was his running mate. I think McCain is a capable leader. Yes, he is out of touch on many issues, but he is capable. However, Palin is not capable in any way or fashion. If McCain were to be elected and die, it would be devastating. She would make George Bush look like Einstein.

Sarah Palin must go, both her and her husband are the typical rogue extremist. Her husband was even a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, would we want him controlling the White House, just as he controlled Palin governor’s office. Do we really want someone who has attempted to persecute her ex-inlaws through the use of executive power? Do we really want a rogue woman who has made it clear that she cares nothing about the McCain/Palin 08 ticket, but the Palin/Joe the Plumber 2012 ticket.

Palin resorts to sexism

Tue, Oct 21, 2008

While campaigning in Nevada, Sarah Palin made the most direct appeal to women voters since being selected as the Republican Vice Presidential candidate. With polls showing a constant decrease in Palin’s approval rating amongst women, Palin suggested that gender should play a role in the women vote.

Sarah Palin: “Our opponents think that they have the women’s vote all locked up, which is a little presumptuous,” Palin said. “Little presumptuous, since only our side has a woman on the ticket”

Sarah Palin has accused many individuals of being sexist throughout her campaign, however, her recent action of words have indicated hypocrisy. Palin’s suggestion that women should or would solely base their vote on which ticket has a woman candidate is an all time low in regards of sexism. Sarah Palin is obviously good at playing the victim when it comes to her gender, but her comments are evident that she is either a sexist hypocrite or not that politically bright as many of us have already assumed.

Sarah Palin: “You’ve got to ask yourself, why was Senator Hillary Clinton not even vetted by the Obama campaign? Why did it take 24 years, an entire generation from the time Geraldine Ferraro made her pioneering bid, until the next time that a woman was asked to join a national ticket?”

Sarah the Hippie went on to suggest that Obama’s VP pick was related to sexism. Around the same time, millions of Americans were spitting their coffee out in laughter. Individuals such as Sarah Palin only energize and provide a sense of false justification to those who are truly sexist. It brings to light the minority of women who are incompetent and incoherent. It brings out the small percentage of women who cling to sexism while in the pursuit of advancement. Its honestly a sad moment in history for independent, intelligent, and ready-to-lead women. Its a sad moment because for the first time in history, a presidential candidate has neglected the most qualified women and signaled that any ole woman will do. If it was in terms of race, it would be like Bill Clinton selecting Al Sharpton as his running mate and saying “this dumb negro will do”. McCain actually believed that women were so ignorant that even picking the most unqualified that women have to offer would draw in the women’s vote. I am sure that America’s women would love to have a fellow woman in such a symbolic position, but a qualified and competent woman. As for Palin, I am pretty sure she is scratching her head right now. If Senator McCain is any common sense, he should put a mussel on that woman before she farther defame a campaign that’s already lost.

ShadyPolitics Most Qualified VP List

56,734,234th Brittany Spears
56,734,235th Sarah Palin
56,734,236th OJ Simpson
56,734,237th Lindsay Lohan

McCain campaign attacks Jessie Jackson

Wed, Oct 15, 2008

McCain’s campaign is targeting Barack Obama through statements made by Rev. Jesse Jackson. Jesse Jacskon, who claims to be an support of Obama, suggested that Obama would fundamentally change U.S. policy toward Israel. While attending the World Policy Forum in France, Rev. Jackson stated that under an Obama administration, the Zionist control of America will come to an end and also US policy towards Israel will change.

Jesse Jackson: “Under an Obama Administration, the Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades will come to an end and as would America’s policy of putting Israel’s interests first.”

“Obama is about change and the change that Obama promises is not limited to what we do in America itself. It is a change of the way America looks at the world and its place in it.”

The Obama campaign immediately noted that Jesse Jackson does not speak for the Obama campaign and does not serve and as advisor to Obama. McCain has geared up and plans to attack Obama on his future policies toward Israel. McCain’s senior forign policy advisor, Randy Scheunemann, has made it clear that it is an issue that is up for discussion in today’s final debate.

Randy Scheunemann: “It should not surprise anyone that Obama’s supporters see what others, from the terrorist group Hamas to Iranian President Ahmadinejad, have seen: an Obama presidency would bring real change to America’s policy of support for Israel.”

Randy Scheunemann was quick to point out that Jesse Jackson is an Obama supporter. However, I can not help but wonder if Jesse Jackson intentions were to smear Obama’s campaign. Many Americans have expressed acceptable cynicism towards Israel, however, saying something like that publicly isn’t wise. Jesse Jackson, being a former (use-to-be) media spotlight, should be in touch with politics and how the game works. We all know, including Jesse Jackson” that those who make such statements publicly are usually stereotyped as anti-semite. Therefore, Jesse Jackson may very well have had negative intentions. Besides, most of us remember the Jesse Jackson’s “cut Obama balls off for talking down to black people” off-screen incident on Bill O’Reilley. The best thing Jesse Jackson can do for Obama, is just shut up. Jesse Jackson is starting to make Rev Wright look good.

Sarah Palin plays fear card

Mon, Oct 13, 2008

During a campaign rally in St.Clairville, Ohio, standing on a platform near a farmhouse decorated with pumpkins,  Sarah Palin warned the audience about the threats of terrorism and that McCain should be elected because of it. Obviously, Sarah Palin was suggesting that Obama and Biden does not understand terrorism and the threat that it presents. This is such a hardcore accusation for someone whose only experience with radicals and terrorism is getting knocked up in Alaska by her domestic terrorist of a husband who is known to have supported the seceding of Alaska.

Sarah Palin: “We know that in the war, it’s terrorists, terrorists who hate America and her allies and would seek to destroy us, and the bad guys are those who would support and sympathize with the terrorists.”

“They do not like America because of what we stand for. Liberty. Freedom. Equal rights. Those who sympathize and support those terrorists who would seek to destroy all that it is that we value, those are the bad guys, OK?”

Sarah Palin also too time to attack the “greedy and corrupt and arrogant” individuals on Wall Street who she accuses of pushing the nation’s economy to a brink. Sarah Palin most dominate quote throughout the rally was “we know who the bad guys are.” Sarah Palin, so does America. We know about your corruption in Alaska. We know about McCain ties with radical groups. We know about your “dirty politics” and “fear tactics”. We know about your husband Alaskan Independence agenda. Lets change the chapter already, we been on the same road of dirty politics for the last 8 years.

Iraqi FM clears Obama name

Sun, Oct 12, 2008

Recently, Sarah Palin said at a campaign stop near Cincinnati that Senator Obama tried to make a secret deal with the Iraqi government to delay an agreement that would spell out the U.S. troop presence in Iraq. Sarah Palin was refering to a status of forces agreement that is currenting being negotitated to replace the UN mandate that will expire this year . Sarah Palin accused Obama of trying to convince Iraqi leaders in private conversations that the president shouldn’t be allowed to enact the deal without congressional approval and that Obama urged Baghdad to delay an agreement with President Bush until next year when a new president will be in office.

Sarah Palin: “We’ve learned that Barack Obama tried to influence negotiations with Iraqi leaders in a way that would set back America’s cause there, while advancing his campaign here. We learned this morning that Iraqi officials are saying Senator Obama tried to make a secret deal with the Iraqi government, and he apparently wanted this action delayed, some more strategy delayed, that would reduce troop numbers until the next president takes office.”

However, both Obama and the Iraqi Foreign Minister has denied that there were every conversations pushing for a delay. The truth is that Obama told Zebari he supports the adoption of a status of forces agreement with immunity for U.S. troops, and that a strategic framework agreement should be vetted by the U.S. Congress once it is forged. However, the lying pitbull with lipstick has once again attempted to smear Obama’s campaign with sources with no creditability and blunt lies.

Obama-McCain spending same on attack ads

Sun, Oct 12, 2008

With the presidential campaign beginning to enter its last two weeks before general elections, Obama has been forced to fire back at McCain’s smears and attacks. Obama in the recent days have released many attack advertisements exposing McCain’s smears and cheap tactics. An analysis of campaign commercials aired over the last seven days shows that both Obama & McCain are spending just about the same on negative advertisements. Obama has outspent McCain on advertisements on a ratio of 2:1. Just under half of the advertisements purchased by Obama were negative. Comparing the ratio and statistics, McCain’s advertisement budget consist of nothing except negative advertisements.

The idea that McCain is purchasing nothing but attack ads is not stunning. However, knowing this fact, it is surprising that Cindy McCain accuses Obama of “running the dirtiest campaign in American history”. The fact is, with Obama outspending McCain 2:1 on advertisements, McCain does not have the money or time for “lets come together” advertisements. McCain and his supporters clearly understand this. At a recent rally, McCain supporters openly called for him to increase attacks on Obama. The rally got pretty tense, with one supporter jumping up and yelling “kill him”. Lets face it, McCain campaign is headed down road and McCain’s negative campaign has proven ineffective.
